Wales – 50 years since we left at the end of A Levels
PreReunion get together at Gliffaes near Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons
The pre reunion went from Monday June 20th till Friday June 24th and while the official location at Gliffaes was closed because of Covid they were kind enough to allow some of our group stay there, while others stayed at a variety of places in Crickhowell and local Air B&B places
Then I arrived on Monday this was the group of us:
A rough schedule was put together by Ruth, Shan and others that included some walks one day, but they unfortunately had to be canceled as Len did his ankle in and could not help Marion herd us along the pathways. My first site of Olaf in his wonderful car that he had brought to the reunion at Badia Coltibouno was a short lived joy – it was broken. The drive from the EU to the UK was the last for a part of it – he got it fixed. Worse, some of our attendees were felled by Covid even before they arrived.

As you can see from this banner the weekend for our reunion was 24th-26th of June
They are obviously getting very good at this as the whole event was much better organised than the previous one I had attended at the college. And this was the first of three they were hosting on successive weekends as the Covid of the previous years had mad a mess of the normal schedule. This meant that six years were at ours: Classes of 1970, 71 and 72 (ourselves, our 2nd years and their second years ) and the same for ten years later, Classes of 1980, 81 and 82.
