October 2026 – As I have said before, this update has been a long time coming .

In my defence, I did post the update to the Nowegian reunion with some text and images, but at that time I did not update this front page. Some of you might not have found that – It is under the reunions pulldown. I gather there was a super book done by Cesilie which if I am supplied a digital copy, I will add to the site.

As most of you know, I am still bouncing around the world – Chris is still resident in Melbourne Australia and I am still resident in Umbria ITALY. Neither of us wants to move so we continue to keep the airlines afloat with our generous donations. And that flight gets longer and more convoluted as the world fragments more with its senseless ongoing conflicts.

We have had another reunion. This time in Scotland. A bit closer to our old castle but some would argue another country. Having now, for the first time, visited the castle in Edinburgh, I’ll take ours over thiers any day. The memory of its halls filled with you,my fellow students all those years ago, still sustain me. I thank you all for that experience.

Poor Shan assumed the mantle of our fearless leader on this adventure, and a wonderful job she did. Some ten months of back and forth with hotels and dining places. Collecting money and making all the arrangements. Our present to her was appreciated but hardly worth the effort that she put into it.

And now Elda has been brave enough to assume the mantle of putting something together in two years time, in Spain – well we hope her province is still part of Spain when it happens. Before that there is a College reunion where Ditte would like us to all appear at….

We are delighted to let you know that, with the help of ex-students from 1973, we are organising a reunion for the classes of 1972 and 1973, this reunion will take place at UWC Atlantic from the 17 – 20 June 2027.

We hope you’ll join us at the place you once called home for a memorable few days of catching up with old friends, sharing cherished memories and celebrating this special milestone together.

There will be the option to stay in onsite accommodation at the College, or if you would prefer, you are very welcome to arrange your own accommodation nearby.
More information including the programme, FAQs and ticketing details will be shared over the coming weeks. Tickets will go on sale by November, so for now, please save the date and spread the word to your classmates.

If you know anyone not currently receiving communications from UWC Atlantic, please encourage them to update their contact details and opt in to receive emails so they don’t miss any reunion updates. Updating details can be done via this link: https://www.uwcatlantic.org/contact/keep-in-touch

Please note that the Class of 1982 will also be celebrating their 45th reunion that weekend, making it a wonderful opportunity to connect with the wider Atlantic community.

We look forward to welcoming you back to UWC Atlantic for what promises to be a memorable celebration.
